I first thought it was a brand of concrete lids from chimneys, you know... there down below at the bottom of the chimney, it covers the hole where you can take away the superfluous ashes... Or hide porn magazines... At least it's where I got my username from, we had a stove at my parent's house and there was a small concrete lid with the word "shunt" carved into it. It has always intrigued me, and when I started to use the internet and needed a username, that came to mind. It's also a medical term! How do you spell "cup" ?
