i have been slacking with the game. after i tried to implement the pathfinding/tracking i got some static.
the blocks in mf's game are not sqaures, but the grid for that pathfinding system is expecting squares. i could find the part about it havign to be squares since it is open source, but it led to me to another issue i have been thinking about.
i think it would be more fun to draw up a big world here, slide it and continue drawing and then patch them together..like that lm/deerfactory collab. that way you can say fuck the grid and maybe have a loosefitting grid over a handdrawn world.
this feels like it would be very liberating. i could go after and create a layer mask for non-walkables or trigger points in paint or photoshop or whatever at and be free of rigid grid. so uh i need to be inspired and will be drawing again.
the charcter animations are still pretty static/binary but that don't matter none, id just like a nice world to walk around for now. any stuff scaled to the sort of thing mf drew would be neat if anyone feels like it!
thank ye
also, i plan on stealing random art from here for this and no one can stop me. hahahoo! or you can tell me to fuck off now and i will not pick your stuff. this game will only be hosted here anyways, i imagine.
(credit will be given in a manner that associates the draws with the draw names too)
