teh website was moved to a new
faster webserver last night, more
better fast with speed making. i
did some work on optimizing the
database and found the bottleneck
was with the server everything is
running on, the webhost moved it to
a new one with new faster hardware.
they told me it wouldn't create any
downtime but it looks like there
was a window of time last night
that the site was inaccessbile,
apologies if anyone was drawring
and lost anything. hurray for new
faster things making!
tthunderdan!!!! it is so good to see your face, and draws again. hope to see you around more. i've been fighting off some weird problems with PHP and Java on the site the last few days, as of right now things are looking stable
Java is being an a**hole lately, sorry about that. There are steps to fix any popups stating "Application blocked by security settings" or other nonsense preventing you from drawring.
You need to configure Java on your computer locally. For Windows just type Java into the search bar on the start menu, and launch the configure Java icon. From there go to the Security tab on the top, and do one of these two things: the easiest is to change the java security settings to Medium. If you want to keep your security settings at High, then you can add http://www.10eastern.com to the Exceptions list on the Security page. Look for the button that says Edit Site List, and add http://www.10eastern.com to the list, and click ok.
For those of you using a Mac, to launch the Java Control Panel on Mac OS X (10.7.3 and above): Click on Apple icon on upper left of screen. Go to System Preferences, then click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel. From there you should be able to change your security settings in the same way.
Also be sure you have the latest Java installed on your system - http://www.java.com

ooo! love the drawr, nice to see your oekaki style again sir. also love the link too, i've often wondered where ghosts live when they're not living with us too
glad you are on the upswing, i know about moodswings from many past issues myself. onwards and upwards!
the more i think about a book, or series of books, the harder it seems. i will look at where the last book left off - I have already made a bunch of collections from those periods, it'll take some time but i'll make some folders of favs from different date ranges, collections and such, and post them up. we all have slightly different ideas on favs, it would be great to pick a few ranges to assign for favs for each of us to collect and possibly set aside or upload to a gallery (or use the existing folders option in our own 10e galleries)
that sounds like a great plan! howsabout all of us make a folder of some favs over the last million drawrings and try to come to make a succinct collection? I will check on what numbers that last book went up to, but it was a long ways back for sure.
it might be interesting to do it from where it left off, up to a certain point. this will be a daunting task for sure, any which way you slice it - there are so many drawrings since last book! there would surely be theme books, common thread books, continuing character/ideas, just the date ranges alone would have enough for several books.
i've thought about it so many times too, and with the newer self publishing sites it would be relatively easy to put together, and not super expensive to produce. i want to hit the lottery and buy everyone plane tickets for some common weekend where we all can fly to a remote mountaintop location to hang out.
