By the angle of the ramp in front of him, I say that he doesn't need to duck as the giant black orb of doom will sail harmlessly over his head. The breeze caused by it's passing may blow his hat off, though, so I would advise him to hold on to it with the mangled grippers at the ends of his arms.
bb makes some good points. However, we just don't know enough information to make an educated guess! How fast is the orb going? I assume by the speed lines, it's pretty fast, but "pretty fast" isn't a number! How heavy is this orb? What if he doesn't even have to duck! What if his mangled grippers are so strong, he can just grab the orb in midair, and hurl it back from whence it came? We must take all these things into consideration.
Hmm...
All good points, however, please consider that the mass of the object is not know, nor are the gravity constraints known... one might draw the conclusion that no matter what the man does, the ball might reach the apex of the ramp and simply toplle over upon him, or could possibly reverse it's path
In fact I know this little guy , named Steven. And if I remember well he'll use his welknown self defence system : He 'll turn himself an he 'll blow with a very hard poop the ball in the opposite direction !!
Bravo Steven !!!!!
the mass of the ball has nothing to do with the height it will attain. Only the angle of launch and velocity, or the initial velocity vector.I think he will duck in time to save his face, but not his hat :(
