having self esteem in high school is rare, and usually involves a stable home. I was a pariah, and I think most of it was that I was nonconformist and I thought everyone else at the school was a sheep. That probably didn't help things.

Actually that sounds alot like me. I never followed the in crowd. I sat in the back of the class with my head down. I wonder if kids thought I was crazy?
