I don't know why I was thinking of footbinding-but I am always interested in opposites that coexist... women started binding from practically birth and broke toes to make them fit in 2-3" shoes. The men used to suck on them and think it was sexy. Women had no income, so it was bind em or starve.

I read up on the subject and now i'm totally outraged.
