Why would it splode if I have it vented? It would be sealed in a concrete vault to contain it. It should just smolder..... I think.

Add a set of Fresnel lenses to the roof to amplify the sun and warm the compost even more, then use the temperature difference between the warmed water and the outside air to drive a Sterling engine and power your home. I call patent!
